MICR fonts and toners

MICR fonts are font generally used in bank checks and by other financial institutions in order to safeguard the secrecy and security systems of the institutions. These fonts are been created according to the International Standards organization and these fonts comply with strict ABA and ANSI standards and is been used in Draft creators and few other check printing software programs. These fonts have undergone checking and testing on several more readers and sorters. There must be a fear when checks if printed in Windows, might be fraud by alerting the name or the amount on the checks. Moreover to give a professional look to the checks and to secure complete look and security for the checks, a MICR font should be used. These fonts are special fonts which are used in bank checks and drafts mostly in certain countries like United States, Canada, Panama, UK, and a few more countries.
Though one can physically print the checks and drafts by using a regular toner instead of MICR toner, but several points and important issues to be considered before that like; banks and other financial institutions use the optical and magnetic methods to read the checks, if you need the checks to be processed quickly, and if has to be protected from fraud.
